Throughout the history of the united states there have been many examples of struggles for equal rights. since 1900 various groups in the united states have fought to achieve full equality. for example American women's as group were not allowed to fully participate in America because they didn't have right to vote.
The Right to vote is important because people can have more influence in passing laws. before 1920 women didn't have right to vote. before 1920 men were control of every things. since women could not vote there choose cancer were limited. women could not work in a polling, they could not run for office , they did not have a voice.
women started taking action for their rights to vote. Elizabeth Candy Stanton and Susan B.Anthony were leading feminists and suffragette.they were in charge of the Seneca Falls Convention.these two women with many other helper they write the Deduction of Rights. This makes other realize the problem. this equal rights help to get education, women can get jobs and get pay same as man.
The 19th Amendment was finally passed in our country in 1920. It took several decades to finally get it passed! The 19th Amendment to the U.S. constitution granted American women the right to vote. This right is known as women's suffrage.
In the beginning of our country, we had a constitution and a Declaration of rights, However, women were not included. many mothers, daughters, sisters, worked hard to achieve equality and justice for women, their passion and determination did not allow them to give up for the fight for equal . Now women can enter just about every sports attend any college, hold any office, enter any profession. Now women are working for equal pay and they won`t give up on that.
